Venue

Our concerts are normally held in the Deeside Theatre, Bridge View Road, Aboyne, Aberdeenshire, a well-equipped and comfortable small theatre which is part of the Aboyne Community Centre. Click here for further information and a map of the location.

There is adequate car-parking space and a lift in the building which provides reasonable access for the disabled.

The Theatre seats 230 people in tiered rows. New rules for the use of the Theatre mean that we are now required to allocate each ticket to a numbered seat. From September 2007 SMC season ticket holders will be invited to book specific seats for each concert at the time they renew their annual membership, and these seats will be reserved for them.

After each concert the audience is invited to join the Club committee and the Performers for wine (or soft drinks), cheese and biscuits in the Partition Room, adjacent to the Theatre. There is no charge for these refreshments.

We also occasionally hold concerts in the Victory Hall, Aboyne where we are able to create a more intimate atmosphere than that in the Theatre, well-suited to jazz or ethnic music.
