WELCOME TO THE STRATHDEE MUSIC CLUB WEBSITE!Strathdee Music Club was formed in January 1996, following the acquisition of a Bechstein grand piano by Aboyne and District Festival Committee, assisted by funding from the Lottery and the Foundation for Sport and the Arts.The Club exists for the benefit of its members and the general public, to promote the appreciation of high quality music in Aboyne and the surrounding Aberdeenshire communities. Each season, the Club Committee organises a series of live performances by respected musicians who are among the best performers within their particular field available in the UK. We like to vary our programmes, so that the season's concerts may include art music of any period, as well as jazz, popular and traditional music. We also organise occasional musical workshops for the benefit of pupils at local schools. These usually take place on the Friday before a Club concert and are run by the musicians who are due to perform the following day. All our concerts are open to the public and anyone who loves good music is very welcome to attend.
